Antares appoints Mark Brock as Professional Indemnity Manager
Mark Brock has joined as Professional Indemnity (PI) Manager. Taking up his position on 4th October, he will report to Joe Battle, Active Underwriter of Antares Syndicate 1274.
Mark has over 25 years of market experience and joins Antares from Mitsui Sumitomo, where he was Head of Professional Liabilities. Prior to joining Mitsui, he spent two years at Chartis Cat Excess where he built a worldwide book of business. He has also held underwriting roles at Swiss Re, GE Insurance Solutions and Euclidian. He began his career at R E Stone Syndicate.
Commenting on the appointment, Joe Battle, Active Underwriter, said
“Throughout his career, Mark has shown an ability to build, maintain and market profitable books of PI business. His wide-ranging experience of writing PI on a worldwide basis will be valuable as we continue to grow this part of our underwriting portfolio.”
The PI account provides cover for legal liability claims against the major professions such as accountants, architects, engineers, surveyors and lawyers. The team also specialises in the underwriting of "Design and Construct" contractors professional risks. Its global portfolio is written on both a primary and excess basis.
